Review by andres manzanaro

The album Sweet Elaine by Songbird is a true masterpiece of contemporary jazz. With her smooth and sultry voice, Songbird delivers a collection of original compositions that are both playful and profound. The album is filled with lush arrangements, intricate melodies, and sophisticated harmonies that showcase Songbird's exceptional musicianship and artistry.

From the upbeat and energetic "Sweet Elaine" to the tender and introspective "In My Heart," each track on the album is a delight to the ears. Songbird's voice is perfectly complemented by the outstanding musicians who accompany her, creating a cohesive and dynamic sound that is both timeless and modern.

the kind of music you listen "pedal on metal" on the highway. lolll
I replaced Jay Caress and joined Songbird in Vancouve 1970r, before Mike found Heart :-)
Not really, but it makes sense that "Bonus" sounds very similar to Dreamboat Annie-era Heart, as they were both produced by Mike Flicker.

And Howard Leese would go on to play with Heart for 22 more years.
Another thing I noticed is that some sound effects on Songbird B-side of "Dirty Work" (Mushroom) are very much similar to early HEART on Mushroom, like "Magic Man". Did Songbird become Heart?
Apparently, Howard Leese took the place of Jay Caress (the original lead vocalist and guitarist) when they got signed to Mushroom, which explains the different sound of this single.
