Review by Connie Faye

Stone Coal White's album, Stone Coal You Know, is a bluesy, soulful collection of tracks that showcase the band's musical prowess and versatility. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers, all of which are delivered with a raw, gritty energy that is characteristic of the blues genre.

From the opening track, "Stone Coal Blues," to the closing number, "Hound Dog," the band's musicianship is on full display. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with searing solos and intricate riffs that weave in and out of each song. The vocals are also noteworthy, with lead singer John Smith's gravelly voice perfectly capturing the emotion and intensity of the lyrics.

The album's standout tracks include "Black Cat Bone," a haunting blues number that showcases the band's ability to create a mood with their music, and "Crossroads," a cover of the classic Robert Johnson song that features some of the album's most impressive guitar work.
