Review by Benji Prince

The album Beethoven Violin Concerto Bloch Schelomo by Conductor, Violin, Cello, The Cleveland Orchestra is a magnificent piece of classical music that showcases the talent and skill of some of the most renowned artists in the industry. The album features two of the most celebrated works in classical music – Beethoven's Violin Concerto and Bloch's Schelomo – performed by the talented conductor and the exceptional musicians of The Cleveland Orchestra.

The album opens with Beethoven's Violin Concerto, which is one of the most popular and widely performed concertos in the world. The performance is led by a conductor who has a deep understanding of the piece and brings out its nuances and complexities with great finesse. The violinist delivers a stunning performance, capturing the essence of Beethoven's work with his virtuosity and musicality. The orchestra provides the perfect backdrop, creating a rich and dynamic sound that complements the soloist's performance.

The album also features Bloch's Schelomo, which is a hauntingly beautiful piece that showcases the cello's depth and range. The cellist on this album delivers a powerful and emotional performance, bringing to life the melancholic and introspective nature of the piece. The conductor and the orchestra provide a sensitive and nuanced accompaniment, creating a rich and evocative sound that transports the listener to another world.

German composer and pianist, born in 1770 (baptized 17 December 1770) in Bonn, Germany and died 26 March 1827 in Vienna, Austria. A crucial figure in the transition between the Classical and Romantic eras in classical music. Beethoven led Viennese Classicism to its highest development and paved the way for Romantic music. Beethoven was the eldest son of a singer in the Kapelle of the Archbishop-Elector of Cologne and grandson of the Archbishop's Kapellmeister. He moved in 1792 to Vienna, where he had some lessons from Haydn and others, quickly establishing himself as a remarkable keyboard-player and original composer. By 1815 increasing deafness made public performance impossible and accentuated existing eccentricities of character, patiently tolerated by a series of rich patrons and his royal pupil the Archduke Rudolph. Beethoven did much to enlarge the possibilities of music and widen the horizons of later generations of composers. To his contemporaries he was sometimes a controversial figure, making heavy demands on listeners both by the length and by the complexity of his writing, as he explored new fields of music.
