Review by aya magdy

The Brandi Carlile Band's latest album, "We're Growing Up," is a powerful and introspective work that showcases the band's musical prowess and emotional depth. The album is a mix of heartfelt ballads and upbeat, anthemic tracks that explore themes of love, loss, and personal growth.

The standout tracks on the album include "The Joke," a rousing anthem that celebrates individuality and resilience, and "Sugartooth," a haunting ballad that explores the pain of addiction and the struggle to overcome it. Other highlights include "Party of One," a beautiful duet with Sam Smith that showcases Carlile's powerful vocals, and "Hold Out Your Hand," a soulful and uplifting track that encourages listeners to embrace their inner strength.

Throughout the album, the Brandi Carlile Band's musicianship is on full display, with intricate guitar work, soaring harmonies, and powerful percussion creating a rich and layered sound. Carlile's lyrics are deeply personal and introspective, exploring the complexities of love, loss, and personal growth with honesty and vulnerability.

This song is sung at Japanese school?
This gives me joy at a time I need it (:
I now
Being a rural Canadian highschool dropout with a smart-mouth, and punk attitude......15 years of oil rigs, forestry work and busting my ass in the construction industry.....and a weakness for dark haired damsels that I know are more trouble than they are worth.....This one really hits home for me.
Brandi Carlile has some of the best road trip music.
Algún español por aquí saludos al español
My favorite lesbian sister ever!
" i wanna fake my death and never be found"
This song reminds me of a friendship I broke, every lyrics mimics how I feel. It was almost a 4 year friendship, the only person I had trusted ever, he had been with me through everything. But reaching your hand out for someone who won't hold it is never worth it. I still miss you,

I'd step in line
That's what Id do if I could turn back time
This is my song

life anthem right here
Oooh
I sometimes lose my faith in luck
I don't know what I want to be when I grow up
I just count the rain
Wearing the floor through the boards again
I wish I could find a soul to steal
I could be the engine, you could be the wheel
And when we're driving home, I never have to worry about being alone
Oooh, I'll follow my tracks
See all the times I should have turned back
Oooh, I wept alone
I know what it means to be on my own
Oooh, the things I've known
Looks like I'm taking the hard way home
Oooh, the seeds I've sown
Taking the hard way home
Taking the hard way home
I never did learn how to follow the rules
I never was good at sleeping while the moon was full
I just lie and burn
Wreck my mind while the planet turns
I sometimes wish I could start again
I'd try and do the right things every now and then
I'd step in line
That's what I would do if I could turn back time
Oooh, I'll follow my tracks
See all the times I should have turned back
Oooh, I wept alone
I know what it means to be on my own
Oooh, the things I've known
Looks like I'm taking the hard way home
Oooh, the seeds I've sown
Taking the hard way home
Taking the hard way home
ooh
I'll tell you how I want to live
Forget about the take
Forget about the give
I want to leave this town
Fake my death and never be found
Oooh, I'll follow my tracks
See all the times I should have turned back
Oooh, I wept alone
I know what it means to be on my own
Oooh, the things I've known
Looks like I'm taking the hard way home
Oooh, the seeds I've sown
Taking the hard way home
Taking the hard way home
I sometimes lose my faith in luck
I don't know what I want to be when I grow up
I just count the rain
Wearing the floor through the boards again
I wish I could find a soul to steal
I could be the engine, you could be the wheels
When we're driving home, I never have to worry about being alone
Oooh, the things I've known
Looks like I'm taking the hard way home
Oooh, the seeds I've sown
Taking the hard way home
Taking the hard way home
Taking the hard way home
Heart of dixie brought me here!!!
Is this song in a movie? I can see it being in a movie about some boys on a cross-country road trip, the car breaks down and they have to walk. Which begins the adventure!
I have to buy this album
i work in iowa during the summers and the siren at the beginning of this song is almost exactly like the one they sound off at noon in the little town to let the farmers know it's lunch time.
Totally Awesoness , kickback Song!!
