Sunnyland Slim's album "Live at the DC Blues Society" is a must-have for fans of traditional blues music. Recorded live in 1977, the album captures the raw energy and soulful sound of Sunnyland Slim's performance at the DC Blues Society. The album features classic blues tracks such as "Going Down Slow" and "Everyday I Have the Blues," as well as some of Sunnyland Slim's own compositions.
The band backing Sunnyland Slim is top-notch, with each member contributing their own unique sound to the mix. The guitar work is particularly impressive, with some truly outstanding solos throughout the album. Sunnyland Slim's own performance is also exceptional, with his powerful vocals and expert piano playing driving the music forward.
