Review by Tudoran Alexandru

Sir Hubert Pimm's latest album, Back In The Good Old Days A Broken Engagement, featuring Ellen Sutton, is a masterpiece that takes listeners on an emotional journey. The album is a poignant exploration of love, loss, and nostalgia, and is sure to resonate with anyone who has experienced heartbreak.

The album's standout track is undoubtedly "Broken Engagement," which tells the story of a failed relationship with raw honesty and vulnerability. Sir Hubert Pimm's haunting vocals are perfectly complemented by Ellen Sutton's soulful harmonies, creating a beautiful and melancholic sound.

The album also features a number of other standout tracks, including "Back In The Good Old Days," which is a wistful ode to a bygone era, and "Lost Love," which explores the pain of moving on from a relationship that was never meant to be.

I heard this sung in workmans club in Liverpool, It was tremendous and the applause was deafening,  IT was sung by a lady who split up with her husband and that made it more meaningful. RIP  WINNEFRED XXXXX
does another country westeren singer sing this song
I know very little about this artist but I agree that this number could well have been intended to have some element of tongue in cheek / irony mixed with the delivery. I sometimes feel that we in our more "advanced" times we can forget or not realise that people of previous eras had exactly the same kind of humour. ideas, aspirations etc as we do and that often its all been done before...
What a rare number, thanks - he should have looked on the bright sde - it might have been a lucky escape...
The best video ever

Thank you for posting this, my Dad had the EP when I was a kid and I loved that terrific piano playing.
