Review by Craig McGettigan

Wait Until The Roses Bloom Aloha Land is an album that showcases the brilliance of the Wheeler Wadsworth Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra. The album features Louise and Ferera, two talented musicians whose performances complement the orchestra's sound beautifully.

The album takes listeners on a musical journey to the tropical paradise of Hawaii. The songs are a delightful mix of traditional Hawaiian melodies and contemporary tunes, all infused with the orchestra's signature sound.

Wheeler Wadsworth Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra's mastery of their instruments is evident in every track. The ukulele, guitar, and steel guitar are played with precision, creating a sound that is both intricate and soothing. Louise and Ferera's vocals are equally impressive, adding a layer of warmth and emotion to the music.

The album's title track, "Wait Until The Roses Bloom Aloha Land," is a standout. The song's gentle melody and heartfelt lyrics perfectly capture the beauty and serenity of Hawaii. Other notable tracks include "Honolulu Tomboy," "My Honolulu Hula Girl," and "On The Beach At Waikiki."

About Wheeler Wadsworth Waikiki Hawaiian Orchestra With Louise And Ferera

Frank Wheeler "Waddy" Wadsworth (aka F. Wheeler Wadsworth) was born in Chicago March 27, 1890. Graduated from the University of Chicago, Class of 1912 and played at the Winter Garden Cafe in Chicago before coming to New York. He formed the All Star Trio on 1918 with George Hamilton Green on xylophone & Victor Arden or Frank Banta at the piano, and began recording on that same year. That group was likely the most successful trio (and on personal opinion, the snappiest) of all the various small instrumental novelty combinations, that it was also expanded into an orchestra known as the All Star Trio And Their Orchestra (several recording sessions were done from January 25 of 1921 to July 12 of 1922 for Victor) with the augmented presence of Earl Oliver's growling trumpet, legendary New Orleans jazz trombonist Tom Brown, alto saxophonist George Vaughn (added from January 26 of 1922 to July 12 of 1922) & violinist Sol P. Ginsburg (aka / ) among other sidemen added for the larger combination. In addition to these groups, Wadsworth also recorded with the Green Brothers Novelty Band (and several separate units directed by George Hamilton Green & Joe Green), Bob Haring, etc. Wadsworth died on June 5 of 1954 in Chicago. He's actually buried at the Rosehill Cemetery.
