Review by Mary Likens Chung

Pelkurit is an album by the Finnish rock band Hassisen Kone, released in 1981. The album features 11 tracks, including the hit single "Tämän Maailman Ruhtinaan Hovi". The band's signature sound of punk, rock, and Finnish folk music is evident throughout the album.

The lead vocalist, Ismo Alanko, delivers powerful and emotive performances on every track. The instrumentation is also impressive, with the use of traditional Finnish instruments such as the kantele and accordion, adding a unique flavor to the sound.

The album's lyrics are thought-provoking and touch on themes such as societal issues, politics, and personal struggles. The title track, "Pelkurit", is a scathing critique of those who refuse to stand up for what they believe in. "Rappiolla" is a haunting ballad about the dangers of substance abuse.
