Review by Adhe Aryswan

The Daylighters' latest album, Bear Mash Stomp, is a thrilling and energetic collection of tracks that will get listeners moving and grooving. With a blend of rock, blues, and funk, the Daylighters have created a unique sound that is both familiar and fresh.

From the opening track "Bear Mash Stomp" to the closing track "Gone Gone Gone," the album is full of catchy hooks and infectious rhythms. The Daylighters' musicianship is on full display throughout the album, with each member contributing to the overall sound.

One standout track is "Soul Shake," which features a soulful vocal performance from lead singer Lisa Day. The song's driving beat and funky guitar riffs make it a perfect dance floor filler.

Another highlight is "Snake Charmer," which showcases the band's bluesy side. The song's slow-burning groove and gritty guitar solo will transport listeners to a smoky blues club.

I Produced This Song (1961) after I left the Group and before I got Drafted into The Army. This was an original song that we brought to Chicago from Birmingham, AL , Dorsey Wood sang Lead ...(There was a Black Community on the Southside of Birmingham Called 'Bearmash' where this Dance originated. Urban Renewal came and replaced this Community. It was located in part of the Area that is now UAB (University of Alabama Birmingham). Bob Catron and I were on the Road Promoting this song when I got Drafted. We released it on NIKE RECORDS the first label we set up. The song was later Leased to ASTRA. Thanks, Tony Gideon - November 27, 2016 .
