Review by Firman Faizal Rahman

Woody Herman's album Woodys Big Band Goodies is a delightful collection of swing music that transports listeners back to the golden age of jazz. The album features Herman's famous big band sound, with lively horns and infectious rhythms that are sure to get your toes tapping.

One of the highlights of the album is the track "Woodchopper's Ball," which showcases Herman's virtuoso clarinet playing and the band's tight, energetic sound. Other standout tracks include "Apple Honey," "Caldonia," and "The Preacher," all of which feature catchy melodies and dynamic arrangements.

Dave Tough and Chubbie Jackson were the greatest rhythm section
of the Big Band era. Nobody came even close and includes Gene
Krupa! Great stuff.
Didn't know drummer was Dave Tough. Got some records from '30's bands and Tough was on a few.
This is from a 1945 78 rpm record, Woody Herman wrote this and Ralph Burns did the arrangement, based on I got Rhythm changes
