Review by John 'Max' Maxwell

Victor Feldman In London, the jazz album by Victor Feldman, is a masterpiece that showcases the musician's exceptional talent and creativity. The album features nine tracks that are a mix of original compositions and covers, all of which have been expertly arranged and performed by Feldman and his band.

The album opens with the upbeat and lively "Bloke's Blues," a track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. The following tracks, including "Joshua" and "Surrey with the Fringe on Top," showcase Feldman's exceptional skills on the vibraphone and piano, as well as his ability to bring new life to classic jazz standards.

One of the highlights of the album is Feldman's original composition "Seven Steps to Heaven," a complex and intricate piece that showcases the musician's technical prowess and his ability to push the boundaries of traditional jazz. Another standout track is "Toys," a funky and playful tune that features some exceptional solo work by Feldman and his band.

Throughout the album, Feldman's bandmates, including saxophonist Ronnie Scott and bassist Peter Ind, provide exceptional support and add their own unique flair to each track. The album's production is also top-notch, with each instrument and note coming through crystal clear.

Does anybody have a broadcast date for this show?
Wonderful to see the brilliant and underrated Colin Purbrook on piano. Loved seeing him live in the early 1970s in London. Such a great player with a soft and powerful touch on the keyboard. Terrific player.
Eddie blair still kicking it
Jackie Dougan!
I was a friend of Art Ellefson in Bermuda back in the 70's. He was the man who introduced me to rum. I rarely drink a glass of Gosling's black rum without thinking of Art. It was good to come across this rare video. Great stuff!
Just looking through some old books and came across two books of Rupert Brooke's
poetry that Colin gave me in 1955 before I emigrated to Canada. He was a former boyfriend who I tossed over for one of his best friends, however it seems Colin was still carrying a torch for me. He wrote some very sweet inscriptions in the books, one said, 'Souviens toi que je t'attend toujours', well he didn't and I didn't, I have now been married to his best friend for 60 years, we have both just enjoyed listening to him play the piano again, what memories it has brought back.
Very enjoyable..Don`t like being old but I`m pleased I lived through those times.
BRILLIANT. GREAT TO HEAR COLIN PURBROOK AGAIN.
never mind 'Perdido'------splendido!!!
