Review by Walter Mueller

The album by Umbra Et Imago is a dark and captivating journey into the world of Gothic rock. The band's unique blend of haunting melodies and powerful vocals creates a mesmerizing atmosphere that draws the listener in from the very first track. The album's production is top-notch, with each instrument and vocal line perfectly balanced to create a rich and immersive sound.

One standout track on the album is "Memento Mori," which showcases the band's ability to seamlessly weave together different musical styles and moods. The song starts off with a slow, mournful melody before building up to a powerful chorus that will have listeners singing along.

Another highlight of the album is "Kein Gott und Keine Liebe," a driving, high-energy track that showcases the band's skill at crafting catchy hooks and memorable melodies. The song's lyrics, which touch on themes of love, loss, and defiance, are delivered with passion and conviction by the band's lead vocalist.

About Umbra Et Imago

Umbra et Imago (lt.: "Shadow and Image") was formed in autumn 1991 and until 1994 (first 2 albums and 1 minialbum) was an electronic dark electro wave gotik band; since 1995 becomes a gothic metal-/Neue Deutsche Härte-band. In picking up Sigmund Freud's idea that sexuality was the center of our being they processed sadomasochistic fantasies though their cynic lyrics. The band is famous for incorporating BDSM acts and complex pyrotechnics into their live shows.
