Around 1935, when Sammy Kaye and his orchestra aired their show live from the Cabin Club in Cleveland over the radio, he came up with the slogan Swing and Sway with Sammy Kaye" that the show's host then used to announce Kaye's orchestra. The name stuck at once. From then on until shortly before Kaye's death, his band was known as "Swing and Sway with Sammy Kaye".
