Review by Rodolfo A. Rico

Split by Starving Weirdos Shearing Pinx is an experimental music album that showcases the creative talents of two unique bands. The album features a blend of ambient, noise, and psychedelic sounds that create a surreal listening experience.

The first half of the album is dominated by Starving Weirdos, who offer a dark and atmospheric soundscape that is both haunting and mesmerizing. The tracks are filled with layers of droning guitars, haunting vocals, and eerie sound effects that transport the listener to a different dimension.

The second half of the album is Shearing Pinx's contribution, which is more aggressive and chaotic in comparison. The band's sound is characterized by distorted guitars, pounding drums, and distorted vocals that create a sense of urgency and chaos.

About Starving Weirdos Shearing Pinx

Experimental drone and noise duo (sometimes expanded to a trio or quartet). Most of their releases are devoid of information or instrumentation, although their sound palette as detailed on 2009s "Into An Energy" comprised: vocals, flutes, percussion, synthesizers, sampler, processing, saxophones, violin, cello, percussion, keyboards, sampler, and sundry other instruments. Their music can range from abstract electronic dronescapes through to intense sonic walls, via Krautrock influenced experimental rock to free jazz avant-garde.
