Review by Nuril Asfar

The Sinan Alimanović Quintet's latest album, Sarajevo Remake, is a powerful tribute to the city of Sarajevo and its musical heritage. The album features a mix of traditional Bosnian folk songs and modern jazz compositions, all expertly arranged and performed by Alimanović and his bandmates.

From the opening track, "Sevdalinka," the listener is transported to the winding streets and bustling markets of Sarajevo. The haunting melody is carried by Alimanović's soulful saxophone, supported by the intricate rhythms of the rest of the quintet.

Other standout tracks include "Bistrik," a lively tune that showcases the band's improvisational skills, and "Sarajevo Nights," a slow, melancholy ballad that perfectly captures the city's complex history and enduring spirit.
