The Shrubs - Another Age

Review by Kevin Ciccotti

Shrubs' latest album, Another Age, is a refreshing take on indie rock. The band's sound is a mix of dreamy guitar riffs, catchy melodies, and intricate drum patterns that keep the listener engaged from start to finish.

The album's opening track, "The Only One," sets the tone with its upbeat tempo and infectious chorus. The song is followed by "Nighttime," a slower, more introspective track that showcases the band's versatility.

Throughout the album, Shrubs' lyrics touch on themes of love, loss, and self-discovery. The standout track, "Lost in the Moment," is a beautiful ballad about cherishing the present moment and letting go of the past.

"We were born in a revolution and died in a wasted war-whore" brilliant Phil Ochs, still holds true unfortunately
I saw these in The 3 Crowns, when it was dodgy as f*ck, in Stoke Newington back when squatters could live there. They did a great version of On A Clear day.
This is a great cover. Has it ever been released with decent audio quality? All I really know about is the c86 casette. I'd buy it if I could get it sounding decent.
It came out on a 12"EP in about 1987, but it's never been released on CD.
