Pendragon - Around The World In 80 Minutes Volume 1

Around The World In 80 Minutes, the latest album by the British progressive rock band Pendragon, is a breathtaking musical journey through different cultures and eras. The album features eight tracks, each inspired by a different country, and takes the listener on a sonic adventure that spans the globe.
From the opening track, "Belle Ame," with its French-inspired accordion melody, to the closing track, "And We'll Go Hunting Deer," which draws inspiration from the Scottish Highlands, Pendragon seamlessly blends different musical styles and influences into a cohesive and captivating album.
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Explorers of the Infinite," which features a hauntingly beautiful melody and thought-provoking lyrics that urge the listener to explore their own personal journey of self-discovery. Another highlight is "Eternal Light," a soaring, anthemic track that showcases the band's impressive musicianship and ability to create powerful and emotive music.

- Side B recorded at Gloucester Music Festival, Gloucester, England, 1 August 1987. "Also a mixing desk recording!" This appears to be the complete performance.
- 1991 fanclub cassette.
- Side A recorded at Noorderligt, Tilburg, Netherlands, 31 October 1987. "This gig was recorded via the mixing desk, so the mics don't pick up much 'anbience'." This is not the full performance.
- Side B recorded at Ahoy', Rotterdam, Netherlands, 3 April 1990. "This gig was recorded by someone in the audience with a Walkman; the band were guesting with Marillion." This is the full performance.
