Mannerlaatta is the latest album by the Finnish electronic musician Mika Vainio, released in 2016. The album is a unique blend of experimental, ambient, and techno music, with a strong focus on creating a sense of depth and space through the use of pulsating rhythms and layered textures.
The album opens with the track "Elo", which sets the tone for the rest of the album with its hypnotic beat and atmospheric sounds. From there, the album takes the listener on a journey through a variety of soundscapes, ranging from the dark and brooding "Helsinki" to the more melodic "Kolmas".
One of the standout tracks on the album is "Maalaismaisema", which features a haunting melody that is repeated throughout the song, creating a sense of tension and unease. Another highlight is "I-LP-O In Dub", which features a driving beat and a distorted bassline that will get your heart racing.
