The Mercury Program - A Data Learn The Language

Review by Amy Kimberlin

A Data Learn The Language, the latest album by Mercury Program, is a masterpiece of atmospheric instrumental music that will take the listener on a journey through space and time. The band's signature sound of intricate guitar riffs, driving bass lines, and complex drum patterns is on full display here, weaving together to create a sonic landscape that is both expansive and intimate.

From the opening track, "Tequesta," the listener is immediately transported to a world of swirling textures and hypnotic rhythms. The songs on the album are all instrumental, but they tell stories nonetheless. "The Secret To Quiet" is a hauntingly beautiful piece that evokes a sense of longing and nostalgia, while "Stand & Sing" is a soaring anthem that builds to a crescendo of epic proportions.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Sea In Your Eyes," which features a haunting piano melody that is both melancholic and hopeful. The song builds slowly, layering in guitar and drums until it reaches a cathartic climax that is both powerful and uplifting.
