Koinonia - Señor

Review by Moda Sattva

Señor, the latest album by Koinonia, is a masterpiece of contemporary jazz that showcases the band's virtuosity and versatility. The album features a mix of original compositions and covers of classic jazz tunes, all of which are infused with the band's unique sound and style.

The album opens with the upbeat and funky "Señor Groove", which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The band's tight rhythm section provides the perfect foundation for the soaring saxophone and guitar solos that follow. The title track, "Señor", is a beautiful ballad that showcases the band's softer side. The saxophone and piano solos are particularly moving, and the song is sure to become a fan favorite.

Other highlights of the album include the Latin-infused "Salsa de la Vida" and the soulful "Soulful Strut". The band's cover of the classic jazz tune "Take the A Train" is also a standout, with the saxophone and guitar trading solos over a driving rhythm section.

Lembranças da Rath Family, lembranças de você Timo e Samuel..
.
This song is amazing. While I can't explain it with musical terms, they present these sour notes that don't crescendo but make you keep listening, its so beautiful, I don't know how anyone finds such amazing songs. What a crew this was, wish I could have seen them live.
One of the most beautiful songs for the Lord!! ?
It means "to live with God." = Via Con Dios. I lived with God big time this weekend. I talked to 1,000 people about God each day at the Jazz Festival. I gave out 400 salvation prayer cards. I made 10 videos. I'm going out again tonight to do it in front of the teeny bopper Justin Timberlake concert. Koinonia was a great band.
I ended up here coz I was listening to Al Jarreau. Al and George Duke were artists I wished they could have been my parents. You look at them play and feel they are the warmest people o earth. Then Abraham Abe Laboriel came to mind. Another gentle giant. One man in love with his instrument.
Vaya con
Dios.

= go with God or may God be with you
