Juthika Roy (born 20 April 1920 died 5 February 2014) was a bhajan (devotional) singer from India. She was a name to be conjured for nearly two decades from early thirties for her scintillating performances of Bhajans of Meera, Kabir, Surdas, and others. In facts, in the hey-day of her career she was being identified by millions of her admirers throughout India as the very personification of Meera, the great singer-saint of the 16th century.
Juthika Roy's reputation as the greatest Bhajan singer of the day did not remain confined to India, but spread far and wide across the seas, particularly to the continent of Africa and South East Asia and her occasional personal appearance tours of overseas countries were widely acclaimed both by the resident Indians as well as the indigenous population of the countries she visited.
