Haskell Histories – 1977 – The group JOE and ‘How Can I Resist’. Gordon (Bass & Vocals) + 2 members of the band Stretch who had a hit with ‘Why Did You Do It’. Both records were produced by Martin Rushent, an ace producer. Hiroshi Kato (guitar), Jim Russell (drums) - he later joined THE HUMAN LEAGUE and then ELVIS PRESELY’s original backing group with Scotty Moore. Sax is Mel Collins who is in KING CRIMSON. They worked mainly as a session band and their biggest success was a huge Japanese girl singer called MAMOE YAMAGUCHI! ‘How Can I Resist’ was recorded in Rickmansworth at Jackson Studios. Gordon then joined CLIFF RICHARD.
