Review by Guido Morcillo

Musical Nursery Rhymes by Jack Arthur and The Song Spinners is a delightful album for children and adults alike. The album features classic nursery rhymes like "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" and "Mary Had a Little Lamb" as well as lesser-known rhymes like "The Grand Old Duke of York". The songs are performed with a fun and upbeat energy that will have children dancing and singing along.

The instrumentation on the album is also impressive. The use of the piano, guitar, and various percussion instruments adds depth and texture to the songs. The album also features some lovely harmonies that make the songs even more enjoyable.

This is one of many songs my mother sang, accompanied by her Gibson guitar. She passed away in November 2012 at age 87. I can still "hear" her singing Pony Boy as I sang along with her. Love you, Mama!
Some of my fondest memories of my grandpa is him bouncing me on his knee singing this song. When my friends and family started having kids of their own I carried on the tradition so there’s still some young ones who will know this song and carry it on.
My big sisters and I galloped up and down the house to this song in the 1960s, riding broomstick horses. What a lovely memory. Thank you! ?
This song... not this version... was also on a cardboard record on the back of a cereal box. A childhood favorite.
oh mom
OMG, as soon as this started playing I was singing right along with it !!
I learned this a million years ago in elementary school. Have not thought of it since then until it popped into my brain a couple days ago! I had to check if I remembered all the lyrics; remembered the important ones!
From Wikopedia: "My Pony Boy" is a popular song written in 1909 by Bobby Heath (lyrics) and Charley O'Donnell. It was incorporated into the Broadway musical Miss Innocence (1909) where it was introduced by Lillian Lorraine.
Thank you for posting this very sweet recording. It's so charming, catchy, and peppy that it really brightens my day. Thank you so much.?
My Dad also sang it to me when I was little :)
