The Backshop, the ninth studio album by Greg Trooper, is a beautiful collection of songs that showcase his songwriting skills and unique voice. The album opens with "All the Way to Amsterdam," a song that sets the tone for the album with its catchy melody and introspective lyrics. Trooper's voice is warm and inviting, drawing the listener in with each verse.
Throughout the album, Trooper explores themes of love, loss, and redemption. "Everything's a Miracle" is a standout track, with its driving rhythm and uplifting message. "The Land of No Forgiveness" is another highlight, with its haunting melody and poignant lyrics.
