The LP is spoiled by by the" so called" live recording , check the dunhill 45 for for the real deal on this 45 , raw latin at is best , far better than Joe Cuba

Eddie Cano’s recording of “Catalina” was a favorite of mine back in the early 60’s. Question: EDDIE TALAMANTES - Drummer, Congas and Vocalist. He’s in this album & also played with Willie Bobo, etc. Remember him? Does anyone by chance have any info on him??? Appreciate it, thanks!

I used to own a place in Torrance CA. Eddie's Quintet worked for me for six months. It was around 1973/74. I would go to the club every night and walk in to this 5 nights a week. Pure heaven.

Imagine it's happy hour, you're in Grand Ave Bar (Biltmore Hotel) live Eddie Cano and his Latin jazz band jamming, everyone dressed in their best, the distant sound of laughing and glasses clinking, cool-fashion dressed people and gourmet free finger foods (delicious)...and the dancing. wow! the Ladies were hot.
