Chemistry Set's latest album, Blue Monsters, is a psychedelic journey through time and space. The band's signature sound of hypnotic guitar riffs and dreamy vocals is on full display, and they take listeners on a wild ride through a variety of moods and tempos.
The album's opening track, "The Splendour of the Universe", sets the tone with its swirling guitars and ethereal vocals. From there, the band explores different sonic landscapes, from the driving beat of "A Cure for the Inflicted Afflicted" to the haunting ballad "The Raven".
One standout track is "Astronomy Domine", which features guest vocals from Pink Floyd's Syd Barrett. The song is a tribute to the legendary band, and Chemistry Set does an excellent job of capturing the essence of their sound while still making it their own.
