Review by Nicolás Muñoz

EsP is the seventh studio album by American singer-songwriter Duncan Sheik, released on October 9, 2020. The album features 11 tracks and is a reflection of Sheik's personal experiences during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The album opens with "Sparrow's Song," a mellow and introspective track that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Sheik's vocals are soothing and emotive, conveying a sense of vulnerability and introspection. The album's title track, "EsP," is a standout with its catchy melody and upbeat tempo, showcasing Sheik's pop sensibilities.

Throughout the album, Sheik explores themes of love, loss, and hope, with each track offering a unique perspective on these universal experiences. "Circling" is a haunting track that speaks to the cyclical nature of life, while "Start Again" is a hopeful and uplifting anthem about finding the strength to move forward.

Musically, EsP is a departure from Sheik's earlier work, with a more electronic and experimental sound. The album features a mix of acoustic and electronic instruments, creating a dreamy and atmospheric vibe that perfectly complements Sheik's introspective lyrics.
