Destia - Alloy

Review by S. Alex Ruthmann

Alloy, the latest album by Finnish power metal band Destia, is a thrilling addition to the genre. The album features ten tracks that showcase the band's signature sound, blending traditional heavy metal with symphonic elements and melodic hooks.

From the opening track "Human Metal" to the closing ballad "The Gate," Alloy delivers a high-energy and engaging listening experience. The soaring vocals of frontman JP Leppäluoto are complemented by the intricate guitar work of Sami Salonen and the thunderous rhythm section of bassist Teemu Koskela and drummer Jani Kuorikoski.

Each song on the album tells a different story, from the epic battle cry of "Reaper" to the introspective musings of "My Serenade." The standout track, "The End of Love," is a powerful ballad that showcases the band's emotional range and ability to craft memorable melodies.
