ATF - Dancing In The Shadows

Review by Karl Roche

Dancing in the Shadows is an electrifying album by ATF that showcases their musical prowess and artistry. The album is a perfect blend of pop, rock, and electronic music, creating a unique sound that is both refreshing and captivating.

The album starts with the upbeat and catchy track "Dancing in the Shadows," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The lyrics are relatable and the melody is infectious, making it an instant hit. Other standout tracks include "Runaway," "Echoes," and "Dreaming."

One of the most impressive aspects of this album is the range of emotions it evokes. From the euphoric highs of "Dancing in the Shadows" to the introspective lows of "Echoes," ATF takes listeners on a journey through a wide range of emotions.

The production on this album is top-notch, with each track expertly crafted to showcase the band's musical abilities. The vocals are strong and emotive, and the instrumentation is expertly layered to create a rich and dynamic sound.

The original vocals are far superior.
I like the rawness of the original version! This is kinda very different mood wise.
Nice! :) Love ATF!
???.???.?
Not bad
Re-recorded version with real sax and better lead vocal.
I use to cover this song in the eighties. And I too remember a version with synth solo.?..?
@Lightavion, so happy I'm not the only one who ended up here because of TK lol
Get your little kiss!
Get chance and luck.
Best music ever!!!
Sorry, I'm not technologically advanced enough to upload anything to YouTube! Go over to ebay or gemm and maybe you can find the vinyl album for sale.
LOVe the Lyrics, and the music!
THANK yOU! I've been hunting for that particular recording for the longest time! Can you post it? Thanks Again!
I could swear there was another version of this song, one with a harder sound to it-and a synthesiser doing the solo instead of a saxaphone. Does anyone remember this?
Yes, that'd be the album version; don't know where this version came from! Almost doesn't even sound like them...
This single has an excellent B-side

God damn am I glad you posted this killer tune from ATF.
About high time their albums were re-issued on CD. I hope someone who represents the works of CBS is listening.
bloody great song
Great song and how true....
ATF had a great stage act. I saw them live at the Leas Cliff Hall in Folkestone in the winter of 1979. The next night, they were playing in deepest Sussex so I fired up my battered A35 van and saw them again!
Prophetic? Boris and Dom?
One of the first concerts I went to at University in 1979 - was fantastic
I see it was produced by the amazing Rupert Hine of Quantum Jump fame...
I love this song and always have - That is all!
