Great concert! Shame that the Floyd had sound problems that night, but at least most of the show went fine. They still played great.
It’s also unfortunate that there doesn’t seem to be a recording of the 2nd Pepperland show the following night, only the first show with the sound problems. Oh well.

I was at this show, and remember it like it was yesterday. Pepperland was a great venue and had some fabulous shows.... It was also surprisingly small for the talent that I saw there. I lived in San Rafael at the time. I moved there from the Seattle in June of 1970 after high school graduation.

Atom Heart Mother is so much better at the beginning here. Someone must've told Nick to stop all the clatter, it makes a huge difference, creates a better atmosphere, like a theme from an imaginary Western.

I keep listening to this and thinking how bad it is that they screwed up like that with the sound system, when David's voice is just angelic on this one...
