About Me: I am someone who has lived long enough to know value. I have been a child, teenager, adult. My roles have been wife, mother, grandmother, nurse, sister, aunt, daughter, grandchild, friend, sweetheart. I have questioned, learned, struggled, survived. I have seen failure and success, joy and sorrow, pain and healing. I now know that without those things I would not be who I am today. And that is of great value.
Having entered the terrifying, anticipated, curious, amazing age of 70, I am finding myself in a whole new world of adventures, opportunities, perspectives. My responsibility is to me, no one else. Only I can make my decisions - then live with them. Yet, as I begin a new life each morning, I am responsible to share the things I've learned, and the person I am. My newest roles as volunteer and health coach provide deep personal satisfaction. Each week I spend time with people who at some level are facing life's final days. At another stage of the spectrum, I walk beside many who are seeking to improve their lives but need to find the "whys" and the "hows".
Yes, I have discovered that true value is in lives touched, love shared, gifts given, small simple things so often overlooked. I savor nature's pleasures freely given, the laughter of children, music that stirs me to tears and the gratitude I feel inside for what Life has given me.
