  • About Me: I'm a guy that loves to design and create. I make a living doing UI/UX design for mobile and desktop apps, and web sites, and develop web sites. I love Wordpress and prefer to write custom themes for my clients' websites as well as my own. That's how I keep the lights on. Designing is like breathing for me: I have to be doing it all the time. If not during the course of actual work, then I can usually be found designing parts for my motorcycles, or just designing my next bike. Engineering is something I picked up along the way: A byproduct of my CAD experience and the parts I invent, design and produce for my motorcycles frequently steers me down the engineering path for other things as well, like household stuff and furniture. These are things I do as soon as I'm off the clock. I prefer to build my own motorcycles, which involves a ton of fabrication and prototyping, which is a lot like metal sculpture and fine art. Way back when I had more free time I loved to paint and do metal sculpture. Before starting any piece I would do several sketches to get an idea of where the art was headed and to have a guide, otherwise I tend to get sidetracked and the end result doesn't even resemble my original concept. So sketching is part of every task or project I embark on, and is how this life all got started. I've had a pencil between my fingers since I was in diapers. I grew out of my diapers more than a couple years ago and still love to sketch, no matter what I"m doing. From kindergarten to high school I was kicked out of classes and sent to study hall or detention frequently for sketching when I should have been doing my work. The detention and trips to study hall gave me a lot more time to sketch though. To sum it all up, I love to design, develop, fabricate, engineer, weld and sculpt, paint and draw all the damn time. I love to design, build, ride and destroy motorcycles, then start all over again. Sometimes in the pursuit of creation it is necessary to destroy to clear the way.
