BEAUTIFUL SONG about God's LOVE for us??
What was that song by Wayne about how the Rabbis & Everyone denied Jesus as a child & then at end of song he realizes who this child teacher really is?
Wow. It's been ages since I've heard (and played ) this song. The most special time I heard Wayne sing it was on one of his pilgrimages to Israel circa 1984-85. A group of about 80 or so of us crowded into the small stone basement of the Church of St. Peter Gallicantu (the place where the cock crowed, also known as Caiaphas' house). It would have been the place where Jesus was kept after His arrest while the Sanhedrin was gathering. It was dark and solemn, and the Holy Spirit was present. Wayne started singing this, his voice breaking with sorrow in the middle and we all started weeping, feeling the great weight of our sin that our Jesus carried. We left out of there sniveling, slobbering messes but profoundly changed. This happened about 35 years ago but was so powerful I never forgot it. It was just one of the many blessings on that trip. Thanks for posting this.
I always liked this song as a child. I was 6-7 years old in the mid 80s and my mother listened to Wayne on the radio, went to some of his retreats, etc. She also had some of his music on tape or record. I'd listen to this as one of my favorites. Brings back the memories! :) Nice song concerning how much Jesus LOVES us dearly. We'll never truly comprehend this until we're up there with Him.
