Boys Gone Crazy by Was (Not Was) is a unique blend of funk, rock and pop that showcases the band's eccentricity and wit. The album features a myriad of guest vocalists, including Ozzy Osbourne, Kim Basinger and Leonard Cohen, who add to the overall eclectic feel of the record.
The album opens with the funky and upbeat "Out Come the Freaks," which sets the tone for the rest of the album. The infectious groove of "Tell Me That I'm Dreaming" and the catchy chorus of "Hello Operator...I Mean Dad...I Mean Police...I Can't Even Remember Who I Am" make these tracks stand out as highlights.
The album also includes some slower, more introspective tracks such as "Go...Now!" and "Dad I'm in Jail," which showcase the band's versatility and ability to tackle different genres.
