Review by Millie Phaeton

Velma Nelson's latest album, "If I Were A Itty Bitty Girl," is a delightful collection of old-timey tunes that will transport listeners back to a simpler era. With the help of Will Rowland and his band, Nelson delivers a charming and authentic performance that captures the spirit of classic Americana.

The album opens with the title track, a playful tune that sets the tone for what's to come. Nelson's vocals are sweet and soulful, and she effortlessly embodies the innocence and wonder of childhood. Rowland's band provides a lively accompaniment that perfectly complements Nelson's singing.

Throughout the album, Nelson and Rowland showcase their impressive musical skills, with Rowland's guitar and mandolin playing adding depth and texture to the songs. Tracks like "My Blue Heaven" and "I Can't Give You Anything But Love" are particularly noteworthy, as Nelson's voice soars over the upbeat melodies.

Solid Solid Solid Solid Great Music. I was born in that year in l946 and man I must have got that liking for this kind of music in l946 Great Sax Man wailing away Great Vocals Drummer is kicking and that whole band backing Velma up are swinging cats.
My sister used to sing this song back in the late 1940's or early 50's at party's.  In those days singing a song like this was considered being wild so I was always her protector.  LOL
