Russisch Orthodoxe Koren Voor Kerst is an album that showcases the beautiful and ethereal sounds of Russian Orthodox choirs during the Christmas season. Featuring a variety of different choirs, the album presents a rich tapestry of harmonies, melodies, and rhythms that transport listeners to the heart of the Russian Orthodox tradition.
The album opens with the hauntingly beautiful "Hymn of the Nativity," performed by the Moscow Sretensky Monastery Choir. This piece sets the tone for the rest of the album, with its soaring vocals, intricate harmonies, and powerful sense of spiritual devotion.
Other standout tracks include "The Angel Cried," performed by the St. Petersburg Chamber Choir, and "O Come, All Ye Faithful," performed by the Choir of the Moscow Patriarchate.
