Tierra Tejana's latest album, Nos Corrieron Por Borrachos, is a vibrant and energetic tribute to traditional Mexican music. The band's signature sound, which blends elements of norteño, tejano, and cumbia, is on full display throughout the album's 12 tracks.
From the opening notes of "La Chica de Humo" to the closing strains of "El Corrido de Chuy y Mauricio," Tierra Tejana delivers a rollicking good time. The musicianship is top-notch, with catchy melodies, driving rhythms, and plenty of accordion and bajo sexto solos.
The album's title track, "Nos Corrieron Por Borrachos," is a standout, with its humorous lyrics about getting kicked out of a bar for being too drunk. "La Cumbia del Chico" is another highlight, with its infectious beat and sing-along chorus.
