Greatest Hits by Thin Lizzy is a timeless classic that showcases the band's impressive range and versatility. The album features some of the band's most popular tracks, including "The Boys Are Back in Town," "Jailbreak," and "Whiskey in the Jar," all of which have become staples of classic rock radio.
From the driving guitar riffs to the powerful vocals, every song on Greatest Hits is a testament to Thin Lizzy's musical prowess. The album also includes lesser-known tracks that offer a glimpse into the band's more experimental side, such as "Dancing in the Moonlight" and "Killer on the Loose."

Greatest Hits is a must-have for any classic rock fan. It's a testament to the enduring legacy of Thin Lizzy and a testament to the enduring power of rock and roll. Whether you're a longtime fan or a newcomer to the band's music, this album is sure to leave you wanting more.
You know that girl who slapped the boys face? Turns out shes living in a midrange Apartment with 2 kids who are not orphans and or grieved over their mother who is still very much alive!
With Phil Lynott gone for over 30 years now, it's almost a given that eventually there would be more Thin Lizzy compilations than actual albums. Many of them - maybe all of them - are quite good, but if I had to recommend just one to either the casual fan or someone new to the band, it would be this one. It's still fairly concise at two CD's, and it arguably collects every great song they ever released. Some tracks are actually "live" tracks from LIVE AND DANGEROUS, but don't let that put you off - overdubs aside, that album is arguably their greatest set of performances and the tracks they selected surpass the original studio versions. I just wished they picked "Still in Love with You" from it as well - the original studio version is included and it's good, but the LIVE AND DANGEROUS version is definitive and one biographer called it the highlight of their career, which is deserving praise indeed. The track sequence is a little too all over the place for me - chronological order might have seemed pro forma, but it would have served this overview much better. And the mastering is what you'd expect for modern reissues (i.e. more compressed than earlier releases). But it's still the best collection for content alone.Anyone who's on a stricter budget or who's looking for a shorter compilation should seek out the UK version of DEDICATION: THE VERY BEST OF THIN LIZZY (significantly different and much better than the US track listing).Anyone looking for a shorter version from the vinyl era should seek out 1981's THE ADVENTURES OF THIN LIZZY, which not only has the best cover of any Thin Lizzy compilation but is also the first compilation authorized by the band. It was reissued in the U.S. as LIZZY KILLERS with the same track list but without the Marvel Comics-inspired cover art. (LIZZY KILLERS was eventually reissued on CD, but THE ADVENTURES OF THIN LIZZY wasn't and remains long out-of-print.)
The spirits are coming back, they ain't too crazy, wild eyed cats are crazy. That chic that used to dance alot, she's red hot, she's steaming, she's mad as hell, she's slapping Johnny's face, if that chic don't want to know forget her. She don't like st. John the gnostic, she don't want to know their gnosis or knowledge. The boys are back, if the boys want to fight you better let them. Guess who's back in town? They're hanging out at dinos bar and grill. I've barred them and been grilling them. Man some of these cats really are crazy. The boys are coming back, but as for her you might as well forget her. She don't want to know, the gnostic, the gnostic of John. She's slapping the templars face, she don't want to know that evil teachings of demons. I've had to get these spirits some real food cause they was looking pretty thin on that gnostic stuff. They don't want to know. There's gnothing to gknow, they don't want to gknow. They are steaming now after all they've done to us. LLXIIX77
