As some of you posted favorites, here are mine: Gadd, Colaiuta, Cobham, Erskine, Porcaro, Phillips, Weckl, Mitch Mitchel, Ringo, Ian Paice. And I probably left some out.
I'm a guitarist, been playing since 1965. Eric and Cornell are two of my main influences, I don't use pedals, and also no pick. I started off listening to Wes Montgomery, and tried to emulate the melodic style as opposed to loud pyrotechnics. I learned how to play with other guitarists by listening to these two guys-they never get in each others way, they're just amazing. RIP.
I am very happy that my music education first had me going to Vulfpeck, and *then* discovering Stuff. It's like becoming a New Testament scholar and then realizing, "wait, there's an *Old* Testament?"
