Review by Michael Riscica

Daddy Daddy Have A Good Time is a classic rhythm and blues album by Ruth Brown, accompanied by the James Quintet & Orchestra. The album features Brown's signature vocals, which are powerful, soulful, and emotive. The album's title track is an upbeat and catchy tune that sets the tone for the rest of the album.

Throughout the album, Brown delivers a range of bluesy and soulful tracks that showcase her impressive range and versatility as a singer. From the sultry "Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean" to the playful "Wild Wild Young Men," Brown's vocals are consistently impressive and engaging.

The James Quintet & Orchestra provide a rich and dynamic backing for Brown's vocals, adding layers of brass, percussion, and piano to create a lively and energetic sound. The arrangements are tight and well-crafted, providing the perfect backdrop for Brown's powerful vocals.
