Probably best known as film music composer for Paul Verhoeven-directed movies Turks Fruit / Turkish Delight (1973) and Soldaat van Oranje / Soldier of Orange (1977).
Van Otterloo was Chief Conductor of the Metropole Orkest from September 1st 1980 until his death in 1988.
