Verismo, the latest album of Renée Fleming, Coro E Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, and Marco Armiliato, is a remarkable collection of Italian operatic arias. The album features some of the most famous and beloved arias from the verismo period, including selections from Puccini's Tosca and Manon Lescaut, Mascagni's Cavalleria Rusticana, and Leoncavallo's Pagliacci.
Renée Fleming's voice is simply stunning, and she demonstrates her versatility and range throughout the album. Her rich, velvety tone is perfectly suited to the passionate and dramatic arias of the verismo period, and she delivers each piece with great emotional intensity and depth. The orchestra, conducted by Marco Armiliato, provides a lush and vibrant accompaniment that perfectly complements Fleming's singing.
The album also features the Coro E Orchestra Sinfonica di Milano Giuseppe Verdi, who add a powerful and dynamic layer to the performances. Their soaring choral arrangements create a sense of grandeur and majesty that elevates the already magnificent music.
