Rapturous Grief's self-titled album is a hauntingly beautiful journey through the depths of sorrow and despair. The album is a perfect blend of atmospheric black metal and funeral doom, with each track taking the listener on a different emotional journey.
The opening track "The Mournful Flight" sets the tone for the album, with its slow and mournful guitar riffs and haunting vocals. The second track "A Grief Observed" picks up the pace a bit, with more aggressive guitar riffs and intense drumming.
The album's standout track is "The Silent Vigil", which features some of the album's most beautiful guitar work and ethereal vocals. The track builds slowly to a climax, before descending back into slow and mournful guitar riffs.
