Pselodux - Three Days

Review by Sandrine Pelissier

Pselodux's latest album, Three Days, is a captivating and thought-provoking release that showcases the Australian artist's talent for blending electronic and ambient sounds. The album features a mix of instrumental tracks and songs with vocals, all of which are imbued with a sense of introspection and melancholy.

The opening track, "Liminality," sets the tone for the album with its ethereal synths and haunting vocals. From there, the listener is taken on a journey through a range of moods and emotions, from the dreamy "Slumber" to the brooding "Requiem."

One of the standout tracks on the album is "The Fourth Day," which features a pulsing beat and glitchy sound effects that create a sense of urgency and tension. The vocals on this track are also particularly impressive, with Pselodux's voice soaring above the intricate electronic instrumentation.

About Pselodux

Pselodux is an experimental electronic/prog rock band based in Melbourne Australia. Primarily run by musician Rob Curulli who produces and performs all instrumentation himself. Pselodux began in Perth Western Australia under several names including Negative Alpha Index, Fragile Nine and Modex before settling on Pselodux in 2003. Originally beginning in his teens as a multi genre project incorporating techno, minimal, chiptune, ambient, drum n bass, breakbeat, jungle, glitch, IDM, gabber and many other styles of electronic music. Pselodux joined Perth label/collective 8-Bit Recordings in 2001 and began playing live in Perth. Relocating to Sydney in 2004. He played shows with scenes as diverse as hardcore techno to experimental and chiptune for the next two years, before moving to Melbourne in 2006. By the late 2000s. Pselodux was moving away from tracker assembled and digital produced glitch, breakbeat and chiptune styles, and started incorporating a more progressive rock and natural sounding classic electronic influence. Inspired by those scenes from the 1970s to early 1990s. Pselodux has been performing live since 2001. Playing around Australia from pubs to festivals with a variety of artists .
