Mercado Negro's self-titled album, Mercado Negro, is a stunning display of the band's talent and versatility. The album, which was released in 2019, features an eclectic mix of Latin music styles, including salsa, cumbia, and reggae.
The album's opening track, "El Pregonero," sets the tone for the rest of the album with its infectious rhythm and catchy chorus. The band's use of horns and percussion is particularly impressive on this track, as well as throughout the entire album.
Other standout tracks include "La Cumbia Del Sol," which features a driving cumbia rhythm and soaring vocals, and "La Cumbia De La Vida," which blends reggae and cumbia influences to create a unique sound.
