Mark Allaway is a graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where he studied saxophone, composition and arranging. He initially embarked on a performing career which included a European tour with renowned saxophone quartet Itchy Fingers, as well as session work for numerous film and television productions. Nowadays, Mark focuses his attention on composition. He wrote the score for the award-winning play Singular Women, which played London's West End and South Bank Centre, in addition to working and composing with the contemporary woodwind group Quadrophonic. Mark has written music for various television projects, such as the French television documentary Sans Retour, and advertising campaigns for products including Harpic Power Plus. He has also scored various short films: Adam's Garden, The Last Laugh and Chasing Chekhov, the latter of which won the LA BAFTA for Best Short Film in 2008.
