Review by Damien Callaghan

Maestro's album Savage Dread Man is a powerful and dynamic collection of reggae tracks that showcase the artist's incredible talent and range. From the upbeat and infectious rhythms of "Rise Up" and "Jah Love" to the haunting and introspective "Prayer for the Children," this album is a true masterpiece of modern reggae music.

One of the standout tracks on the album is "Babylon System," which features Maestro's signature vocal style and a driving bassline that is sure to get listeners moving. The lyrics are a powerful indictment of the corrupt systems that oppress people around the world, and Maestro's delivery is both passionate and articulate.

Another highlight of the album is "Savage Dread Man," a powerful anthem that celebrates the strength and resilience of the human spirit in the face of adversity. The track features a driving beat and a catchy chorus that is sure to get stuck in listeners' heads.

After all these years I am still upset with this idiot driver who killed the great Maestro. This great man was creating a new sound for the world - something exciting, something truly fresh and original in music and now it's all gone.

While in School, we were great fan of The Maestro, so much so that we took the name Savage for our Cricket Side
Forty plus odd years old and tune still sounds raw, young, sharp, fresh.........
Long live the music of the master known as Maestro (Cecil Hume)... the late great!

It will be 37 years since the great Maestro's demise. Gone too soon!
I was in a Queen Show called Miss Carnival Model in 1977, and we modeled for this song. It was a great song. Ms Veronica Tyson thank you for the words in the song, I was busy modelling and did not pay too much attention to the words. 1977 surely was a Great Year. Thank you Mr Maestro you were never forgotten.
Actually, its Maestro that wrote Endless Vibrations for Shorty and Sa Sa Yea for Sparrow

I've been obsessed with this song for most of my life. It was absolutely wonderful that Bunji brought a version of it to a younger gereration who may be curious enoug to seek out the original master. I just posted lyrics on Wiki Tunes.
