Her national hits include: "I'll Drown in My Tears" which reached #5 on the Billboard R&B chart in 1952; Lets Call It A Day hit the #7 of the same chart, while Ill Drown in My Tears hit #5, both in 1958. Reed was married to and recorded with him often. She also recorded often with . She is sometimes credited as Lulu Reed.
