Little Della Humphrey - Dont Make The Good Girls Go Bad

Review by Usama Arshad

Little Della Humphrey's album "Don't Make The Good Girls Go Bad" is a soulful and powerful collection of tracks that showcases her incredible vocal abilities. From the opening track, "Don't Make The Good Girls Go Bad," to the closing ballad, "I Ain't Got Much (But I Got Love)," Humphrey's voice is filled with emotion and passion.

The album is a mix of original songs and covers, with Humphrey putting her own unique spin on classics like "My Funny Valentine" and "Cry Me A River." The standout track, however, is the original song "Your Love Is All I Need," which features Humphrey's soaring vocals over a funky bassline and groovy guitar riff.

The production on the album is top-notch, with each instrument and vocal track perfectly balanced to create a rich and full sound. The backing band, which includes legendary session musicians like Bernard "Pretty" Purdie and Cornell Dupree, adds an extra layer of soul and depth to the music.

About Little Della Humphrey

Soul songstress from Miami. Born in 1953. Not an active performer any more (at the time of writing). Most important recordings in her career were arguably the 1968 song "Dont Make the Good Girls Go Bad" (follow up song to Betty Wright's "Girls Can't Do What The Guys Do") and early 70's reading of "Dream Land" (her only reggae recording).

See the French movie Deerskin, this plays at the end, for a reason. Such a funny crazy film.
