Review by Amanda Wakefield

Thank You For The Roses, the 1965 album by Kitty Wells, is a classic country music gem that showcases the legendary singer's timeless voice and heartfelt lyrics. Wells, known as the "Queen of Country Music," delivers a mix of ballads and uptempo tunes that capture the essence of country music at its best.

The album's title track, "Thank You For The Roses," is a standout, with Wells' emotive vocals conveying the gratitude and love expressed in the song. Other highlights include the lively "I've Got Yesterday," the poignant "Amigo's Guitar," and the tender "I Don't Claim to Be an Angel."

Throughout the album, Wells' sincerity and authenticity shine through, making it clear why she remains a beloved figure in the country music world. Her ability to capture the joys and sorrows of everyday life in her music is unmatched, and Thank You For The Roses is a testament to her enduring legacy.

I worship Kitty Wells.
Nat & I was lucky to see & dance to her music about 40 years ago in a little town called Cliff , N.M. It was a very enjoyable night, I have always enjoyed her music, a very wonderful lady.
It's funny how if you start singing along to songs like this you wouldn't be able to get it right at first but then you relax into it and just feel like something has taken over your body. Its as if music actually does have a soul and is able to enter and pass throughout those who dabble in it. Astonishing.
THIS IS A PRECIOUS PIECE OF HISTORY~~R.I.P. KITTY
